The bus around the corner takes you to the city every half hour in 10 minutes. Or do you take the car? There is always free private parking.

In front of you a vast natural area that leads you to Ryckevelde forest, good for wonderful panoramas. From sunrise to sunset. Nearby several nice secret addresses, from a castle bistro to a village pub.

Right on a hiking network.

You stay in a historic, ancient landscape, in the middle of the Hiking Network
Fields and Meersen (115 km). And from here you can also connect to the
Bulskampveld Hiking Network (250 km). Sophie tells you the most beautiful hiking spots,
Bram knows the best cycling routes are.

We have several breakfast formulas and we'll set your breakfast for you in Brams studio. So you can have breakfast whenever you want! Pistolets and cakes from the best baker, artisan jams, organic salmon, delicious granola with seasonal fruit or do you stick to a croissant?

Meet your hosts

Bram is a dockworker, Sophie is a travel journalist and together with our daughter Madeleine and enthusiastic brown labrador Lou we love traveling and ... projects. So while building our new home, we quickly decided to open one guest room. Matter of sharing that wonderful view with friends, family and guests. We are decorating Bird's Nest the way we like it ourselves. With mud walls, a space shuttle bathroom, a meter-long reading nook by the window and a terrace with a view. Or falling silent in style. Bram is an avid cyclist and shows you the most beautiful routes on and off road, Sophie has published numerous books, writes for many magazines, loves breakfast, aperitifs and hiking and knows the best places in and outside the city.

What amenities are included?

Bird’s Nest boasts a king-size bed, a kitchenette with a fridge, coffee and tea, a small seating area, a bathroom with a shower and luxury soap, shampoo and conditioner from RainPharma, a private entrance, a private terrace and a charging station for electric vehicles.

Is breakfast included in the stay?

A few days before your arrival, you can let us know whether you will have breakfast on site or go into town. There are several breakfast formulas: French, Belgian Sweet, Belgian Savoury, Scandinavian and The Full Monty. Tasty!

Hoe ver ligt Bird's Nest van Brugge?

The center of Bruges awaits 4.5 km away, you can bike there (on request we will put bikes for you), hop on the bus (the stop is around the corner) or take the car.

Is there parking available?

There is private parking.

Can we park bikes?

Absolutely, Bram bikes and has everything you need!

The refrigerator stocked? A tapas board or a deluxe breakfast? We are happy to arrange it for you!

Are dogs welcome?

We love dogs, we even have one ourselves, but our beige bed and beige window cushion don’t go well with muddy paws.
